Omni-ID, a supplier of passive UHF RFID tags, has announced the establishment of a new subsidiary, Omni-ID High Science & Technology Co. Ltd. in Qingdao, a major Chinese seaport south of Shanghai.

According to a press release by Omni-ID, the new facility will allow the company greater control over its global supply chain, thereby increasing RFID tag production and improving time to market.

The subsidiary will be solely dedicated to the production, assembly and quality assurance of Omni-ID’s passive UHF RFID product line of tags and services, including a rapid product prototyping capability
